Get started
Add your site and competitors, then pick the prompts we ask.
JoshUpdated 3 min readSet up in four steps
- Enter your website, like
company.com, and click Continue. We read your homepage so our prompt suggestions fit what you sell. - Add your competitors' websites one at a time. You need at least one, and your own site can't be on the list.
- Add up to 10 prompts: questions a buyer might ask an AI assistant. Type your own, or click one under Suggestions. You can also skip this step and add prompts later.
- Choose the assistants for your first run. All eight start switched on: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, AI Overview, Cursor, OpenCode, Codex and Claude Code. Click Build my dashboard.

Write prompts buyers ask
Our suggestions come from your homepage and the competitors you added. They leave your brand name out on purpose. Someone who types your name has already found you. You win new customers when an assistant recommends you to people who don't know you yet.
Write your own the same way:
- Ask the way people talk to an assistant, like
which postgres database should i use? - Name a competitor to reach people who want to switch, like
best <competitor> alternatives. - Cover different angles: a use case, a type of team, a problem you solve.
To edit a prompt during setup, click its text. Clear the text to remove it.
What happens next
When you click Build my dashboard, we create your project and ask each of your prompts once on every assistant you picked. You then land on the Prompts page and pick a plan. Your answers appear as soon as your plan starts.
From then on, we ask every prompt again every day. Your first Content Gaps scan also starts with your plan.

Add another project
A project is one brand you track. Each project has its own prompts, competitors and dashboard. All projects in a company share its plan and prompt allowance.
- Open the project picker at the top of the sidebar and click Add new project.
- Enter a project name and website, then click Create.
- On the new project's Prompts page, click Add prompt(s). Add its competitors on the Competitors page.
Starter includes 1 project, Growth includes 2 and Scale includes 5. At your limit, the button reads Review plan instead of Create.
